Welcome

The Board of Directors shall manage the business, property and affairs of the association, and may exercise and delegate any and all of the powers of the organization as it sees fit, subject only to restrictions imposed by Statute, the organization Articles of Incorporation, and these Bylaws. The Board of Directors shall establish administrative policies; authorize goals and objectives; emphasize overall planning; authorize agreements and contracts; adopt the budget; approve committee appointments; authorize meetings; review committee reports; and determine action to be taken. 

Board of Directors and Officers

President - Fred McNeeley

The President shall:

  • Be the principal executive officer of the association and provide general supervision of other Officers in their control of the affairs of the association.
  • Preside at all meetings of the  membership and all meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • Perform duties  customary to the Office of President, or as directed by the Board.
  • Be authorized to sign documents of the association if not specifically expressly designated to some other officer.

Internal Vice-President - Roger Holzhauer

The Internal (First) Vice President shall:

  • Oversee programs, chairmen and committees of the CISA meant to further member development in their umpiring skills/knowledge. ensure educational topics are presented at meetings and other training and education is provided to members deemed appropriate.
  •  Such programs may include areas such as clinics, umpire promotion programs, new umpire acclimation programs. 
  • Conduct member meetings in the absence of President.

External Vice-President - Tom Huntsman

The External (Second) Vice President shall:

  • Oversee programs, chairmen and committees of the CISA meant to further the association's involvement in the local and state softball communities.
  • Such programs may include areas such as State Tourney assistance, CISA Scholarship program, fundraising for community issues, social events involving coaches & AD's. 
  • Conduct member meetings in the absence of President and Internal Affairs  Vice-President.

Secretary - Bill McDaniels

The Secretary shall:

  • Oversee notice and maintenance of the minutes from the meetings of the Board of Directors, and membership;
  • Maintain a roster of  Active Members and Honorary Members
  • Provide Notices as required by these ByLaws
  • Perform correspondence duties on behalf of CISA and execute any required filings.
  • Perform other duties customary to the Office of the Secretary.


Treasurer - Ron Helgeson Jr

The Treasurer shall:

  • Be the custodian of the funds of CISA,
    • Operate CISA Checking and/or Savings accounts and reconcile balances
    • Collect and deposit funds received for dues, school assigning fees, fundraising
    • Disburse the funds of CISA as directed by the Board or Bylaws
  • Provide such financial reports and statements; and
  • Supervise the keeping and auditing of accounts; required financial reporting or filings
  • Perform other duties customary to the Office of the Treasurer.

Past President - Joey Richardson/Jon Carls

The Past President shall:

  • Provide advice and continuity from prior board(s)
  • Perform specific liaison roles as directed by Board
  • Provide Board Assistance as requested/directed by Board or membership

Directors - Brett Stevens

The Directors shall:

  • Attend meetings of Board of Directors
  • Coordinate logistics of Membership Meetings
  • Provide leadership assistance to Vice-Presidents on areas identified by President and Vice-Presidents
  • Provide discussion and feedback on topics discussed
  • Perform various duties as assigned by Board
